Production SupportJob Description
- Proficient in DB2 and SQL query writing, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, REXX, CICS with relevant hands-on experience
- Should be able to automate manual recurring tasks.
- Proficient with analysis and research task.
- Should be able to perform basic navigation in ISPF and use tools like File-aid for file operations proficiently.
- Assist in root cause analysis exercises of reoccurring production issues and should be able to provide effective solutions.
- Demonstrate proficiency with all tools (B92, Abend Aid, Xpeditor) and processes associated with the monitoring of the production environment.
- Create and maintain system documentation. Document issues in the production environment, resolving the issue whenever possible and escalating if necessary.
- Make process improvement suggestions and open to share and accept new ideas.
- Batch-cycle support & related communication to users, application teams and other stakeholders about the status of any system outages, as needed.
- Provide on-call support on weekday and weekend.
- Knowledge of Git, Github, IBM IDz, Jenkins, DBB (Dependency Based Build), Groovy scripting, Urbancode Deploy, Digital.ai is a huge plus.
